Spiritual Music for Contemporary Times
Resonance Reflections is an 8 piece suite of spiritual music without religious affiliations.
It reflects my belief that music and sound connects us to our spirit lives and can be a healing experience that brings us together, creates community and allows individual reflection. It is literally ‘food for the soul’.
It is based on the premise that music and sound are subtlety transformative. Each piece is infused with the vibrational frequency of particular tuning forks using a homeopathic approach to the music. The idea came to me of using the tuning forks that are aligned to our energy meridians much like the drones in Hindustani Classical Music. I have created a set of pieces where the musician can perform improvisations based on themes that are composed in response to the tuning forks. Different tuning forks can be heard resonating throughout each piece. These pieces were created upon reflection and in response to the sound of the forks and are played with a genuine intent to resonate with their positive frequencies.
You will notice that the tuning forks don't resonate at equal temperament,( the standard tuning system of Western Music ). See how this feels to you.
The pieces cycle through the meridian system used in traditional Chinese medicine and kinesiology to balance our human energies. You may feel drawn to a particular piece to get in touch with the energies there.
